To mark St Valentine's Day we held a special ball, our fourth event at this ambitious new venue where the entertainment is spread over two rooms. In the main hall we had live music from the London Dance Orchestra, with the Gatsby Girls dancing along to a couple of numbers, plus DJing by Auntie Maureen. This was also the room where dinner was served and tables could be reserved. Outside in the lobby was another bar plus the dedicated rum and cigar bar, pairing fine aged rums with our small range of Havana cigars.
Meanwhile in the more intimate Cabaret Lounge we began the evening with the gypsy jazz stylings of Café Manouche, followed by a cabaret show that ran twice in the evening, hosted by Champagne Charlie, with elegant acrobatics from duo Deux Ailes, comedy magic from Christian Lee and tap-dance shenanigans from Josephine Shaker.
Elsewhere we also had tarot readings from Lucius. (He was supposed to be joined by partner Foxglove but illness intervened; apologies for the queues that built up as a result and thanks to Lucius for staying after we had officially closed to clear the backlog.)
Our next ball at this venue is on 12th May—grab your tickets now!
