Night and Day in the 1930s

The Fashion and Textile Museum's new exhibition NIGHT & DAY: 1930s FASHION AND PHOTOGRAPHS is now open, featuring over 100 ensembles from fantasy evening wear to playful beach pyjamas. It uses women’s fashion to explore the social, cultural and political landscape of the period, from the escapism offered by Hollywood films, window-shopping and women’s magazines, to the increasingly stark political realities and extremes of wealth and poverty, up to the utilitarianism of World War II. If it's anything like the museum's 1920s show last year this is a must-see. Check it out at https://www.ftmlondon.org/ftm-exhibitions/night-and-day-1930s-fashion-and-photographs.
