To celebrate the arrival of spring, on 12th May we threw a ball at a long-forgotten ballroom in east London, with two rooms of entertainment—in the main hall we had live music from the Swing'It Dixieband, Charleston dance routines from the Gatsby Girls and DJing from Holly of the Bee's Knees. Meanwhile in the Cabaret Lounge we had live music from the Volstead Orchestra in the early evening followed by two cabaret shows hosted by Champagne Charlie, featuring burlesque from Miss Betsy Rose, magic and mind-reading from Neil Kelso and Weimar foot-juggling from Ulrike Storch. And we also had fortune telling from Lucius (sadly on his own as his partner Foxglove had to drop out due to illness). Thanks to all who came along and helped make such a special atmosphere.
