With live music from the Lucky Dog Dance Band, house band of the Lucky Dog Picturehouse, which screens silent movies with live musical accompaniment—as they would have been enjoyed back when they were first seen. The name comes from the Laurel and Hardy classic The Lucky Dog, and the band are inspired by the great dance bands of the late 1920s and early days of Hollywood.

The Candlelight Club
Secret London location.
Stunning and delicious desserts available with our three course dining option
The Lucky Dog Dance Band brings you the story of Jazz on a journey through the Ragtime Grizzly Bear dance, trips to the Orient, prohibition dreaming and Hollywood favourites.
Inspired by the music of the great dance bands of the late 1920s and the birth of Hollywood, The Lucky Dog brings together some of London's most exciting young musicians—not to be missed!
When the band’s not playing, disc kittens The Bee’s Knees will be spinning the vintage shellac and keeping the dance floor buzzing.
Running the show and keeping everyone in order will be that strict mistress of the Weimar cabaret, Eva Von Schnippisch. Her über quick wit and razor-sharp tongue makes Eva one of the fastest, finest and furiously funny Weimar Vixen Cabaret Compéres on the scene. With a spectacular belting voice, exceptional comedic timing, and unrivalled audience interaction skills, she is a strict mistress with a warm heart that “holds the audience’s attention like no other”…and leaves them deeply satisfied.
Let our team of master mixologists stir or shake you up some of the finest cocktails inspired by the Prohibtion era, and our amazing chefs are on hand to serve you all sorts of delicious treats, whether it be our full three-course fine dining options or simply some delectable platters to share.
Book your entry tickets now, or why not upgrade to one of our limited VIP options? Book a table, which includes a bottle of Champagne, or why not treat yourself to the full experience with our three-course fine dining option?
Find our secret courtyard garden, where you can emjoy an Havana cigar from our cigar bar whilst sipping on your cocktail.
The Candlelight Club is perfect for parties, whether you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary or other special day. We also are hugely popular with hen and stag parties looking for a more sophisticated and immersive night out.
Everyone dresses up at The Candlelight Club, whether you fancy being a flapper or a vaudeville showgirl, go full on with a top hat and tails, or more louche in a lounge suite and hat. If you need some inspiration of what to wear and where to buy it, head to our “What To Wear” section.
“I cannot rate this event high enough—from the contact with the company being helpful and accommodating, through to the staff on the night being friendly and welcoming, to the music and event itself being absolutely amazing. Organised this for my wife’s birthday and we were all blown away by how good the night was. Everyone makes the effort to dress well for the era, the music and cabaret were fantastic. We will definitely be back. ”
What you need to know
What tickets do I need?
All guests at our events need an entry ticket. This covers entry and entertainment but does not guarantee a seat at a table. Some of the tables may be freely available on a first come, first served basis, but seating is limited (about enough for two thirds of the guests) so if you wish to reserve a table you may do so for an extra charge, which includes Champagne on arrival.
A SMALL TABLE costs £65 (on top of your ticket price), includes a bottle of the house Champagne and can seat up to five people.
A LARGE TABLE is £130, includes two bottles of house Champagne and can seat up to ten people.
You have the option to add a table reservation to your order when you buy your tickets, but you can also add a reservation later (subject to availability). You don't need to specify who will be sitting at you table but all guests need an entry ticket too.
If you reserve a table (but not the set menu dinner), you can order sharing platters of food for the table. You'll see the option to do this when you buy your tickets. There will also be a small range of bar snacks to order on the night.
Alternatively you can book the THREE-COURSE DINNER for £40 per person (on top of the entry ticket). This option includes table seating reserved for you all night (though not the Champagne), so there is no need to reserve a table separately, though note that you may be sharing a table with other guests.
What is the dress code?
As you will see from our gallery, everyone dresses up at the Candlelight Club, which is part of what makes the atmosphere so special—think dandies and flappers, gangsters and molls, Peaky Blinders, shady bootleggers, Bright Young Things, corrupt politicians and the Smart Set In the Know. Evening wear or jackets and ties for gents. No T-shirts, jeans or trainers. Hen parties are very welcome but, please, no L-plates or phallic objects, etc.
What are the start and end times?
July’s event starts at 7:00pm and finishes at midnight.
Where is it?
