As the nights draw in and the party season kicks off, we’ll be warming up the dance floor with red-hot live music, sizzling cabaret and cockle-warming cocktails, in a secret ballroom in south London.

There will be rollicking live ragtime music from the seven-piece Trudgeon's Trad Jazz Troubadours, and when the band aren’t playing DJs the Bee’s Knees will be spinning vintage vinyl into the night. Your host will be Champagne Charlie and there will be racy burlesque from Miss Didi Derriere.

Elsewhere tarot readers Athena and Andrea from Fickle Finger of Fate will be on hand to glimpse into your future, Michelle Krausz will be running her vintage jewellery shop, and sketch artist Sophie Williams will be poised to capture you in all your finery.

FREE DANCE LESSON

Arrive early for a complimenary dance class with George and Suzi of the Black Tie Ballroom Club. We've been doing this since March, focusing on different dances each time. This time it will the jive, an energetic style with plenty of lively legwork that developed in the US alongside jazz music in the 1920s and 1930s. The class will run from 7.10pm for about 40 minutes. No previous experience is necessary but space is limited, so if you'd like to take part please let us know so we can gauge numbers.
