Friday 24th & Saturday 25th May
Since the bank holiday weather will doubtless be glorious and the Chelsea Flower Show will be in full swing, we're giving our May event a Jazz Age garden party theme. Think country house weekends, boating blazers, parasols and "Anyone for tennis?"
There will be bunting and deck chairs, a one-off menu of cocktails to evoke the fragrance of an English garden in the spring, plus cucumber sandwiches, picnic food and lashings of Pimm's.
There will be live music from those boater-toting funsters the Swing'It Dixieband, and hosting from Champagne Charlie—always up for an assignation in the summer house. When the band aren't playing there'll be vintage vinylism from DJs the Bee’s Knees.
If in doubt, ask yourself: "What would Bertie Wooster do?
Or course, if it rains we'll be in the village hall (our venue is mostly indoors anyway), but if it's fine you can explore our private Gin Garden, with a dozen gins to help you fashion your perfect G&T.
Here is the band’s new video for their self-penned ditty Party Like It’s 1923…
